The music video for Funkytown obviously has a 70s disco theme, but if you look past it you can see the obvious.
There is no exact place called funkytown. Its not a state of mind that you get in through drugs or alchohol. Its merely your happy place.
In the video, the singer is dancing and singing with her friends, and clearly having a good time.
Anywhere where you can just enjoy yourself and live life the way its supposed to be lived, your in funkytown.

In your other post you were talking about the singer needing someone to help her get to funky town why do you think that the video sent a different message than what you thought song was saying before?
